About the event

Building a Body Confident Home is a FREE practical training designed for parents, guardians, and caregivers to help youth develop positive relationships with food, body image, and self-worth. The session teaches us to recognize impactful messages about body perception to provide us with the tools to foster confidence and connection at home. 


This training will equip parents and caregivers with the knowledge, language, and confidence to:

  • Reduce risk factors for disordered eating and eating disorders

  • Promote positive body image and self-esteem

  • Model resilient, attuned, and safe behaviors around food and movement

  • Create a safe, supportive, and compassionate environment where children can thrive
