Fall Conference: Immersive Eating Disorders Essentials
Save the dates for Thursday, August 22nd, and Friday, August 23rd, 8 am-4 pm for a two-day immersive course with Dr. Tara Deliberto, Ph.D., a world-renowned clinical psychologist specializing in eating disorders. 14 CE credits are offered. Join AKEDA and Dr. Tara Deliberto, Ph.D. Thursday, August 22nd, and Friday, August 23rd, 8 am-4 pm for 2 full days of training designed for healthcare professionals on eating disorder interventions. The first day will include a general introduction to eating disorders, diagnosis, discussion of different modalities used in treatment, and higher level of care. We will also focus on family intervention in the treatment of eating disorders and the IMT modality. For the second day, we will begin with individual eating interventions and body image interventions. The training will conclude with group interventions and practice application of knowledge using case studies.
Funding Assistance Options Available for Fall Conference
The Family Service Training Center (FSTC), at the UAA Center for Human Development, invites professionals at eligible agencies to apply for training access funds to attend this conference. Training access funds are available to professionals who are employed by an eligible behavioral health non-profit agency that bills Medicaid for behavioral health services or receives grant funding from the Division of Behavioral Health.
