Adult Support Group 18+

Service Description

This free, peer-led support group is for adults 18 and older who are experiencing an eating disorder or are in recovery. You are welcome here no matter where you are in your journey, and a formal diagnosis is not required. Please note this is a support group, not a therapy group. The group meets Thursdays from 7:00–8:00 PM AKST and focuses on connection, encouragement, and building a positive, pro-recovery community. After registering, you’ll receive a Google Meet link by email (you only need to register once and you may use this for all future support groups). By registering, you agree to AKEDA’s confidentiality policy and group guidelines. This includes acknowledging that AKEDA provides support only and is a non-treatment entity. Your recovery process may include services from treatment professionals outside of The Alaska Eating Disorders Alliance. Confidentiality is essential to creating a safe and supportive environment at AKEDA, and we ask that all participants respect and uphold everyone’s right to confidentiality.
